AMD presents Ryzen Threadripper 2 the Monster Processor with 32 CORE

AMD introduced processors Threadripper 2 or also called as Threadripper 2000-series, with a new superior features. One of them variants of the number of its cores reached 32 units. If on the original Threadripper there are 8 core (core) processing, then with 2 active core and 2 non-active core produces a count of 16 cores and 24 threads. In Threadripper 2, all four cores will be switched on, increasing the count of cores to 32 units and 64 threads. With that big brain, Threadripper 2 would be used to handle 64 processing at a time. This ability is two times higher than the original Threadripper released in 2017 ago.

AMD recently showed its fangs in front of Intel, the main competitor in the world of processors. Through great products but more affordable prices AMD came back to surprise by announcing second-generation processors from Threadripper which has 32 cores and 64 threads made with 12nm production process which means it gives twice the number of cores more than the first generation Threadripper with 16 cores but still using the same Zen + architecture.

This latest processor will be present in two CPU variants with 24 cores / 28 threads as well as 32 cores / 64 threads. Although it is not yet clear how exact the clock is from this processor, the AMD Threadripper is likely to have a 3Ghz base frequency of up to 3.4 Ghz in boost or turbo mode.

Not yet clear how much Amd Threadripper 2 price, but it should still be cheaper than the processor classmates of Intel's competitors. Please note that Amd Threadripper 1950X most expensive priced at 1000 USD while the rival processor from Intel with 18 cores ie Core i9-7980XE has a price of 2000 USD. With the number of cores that much, the CPU with AMD Thread ripper 2 will require 250 watts power, which means greater than the first generation Threadripper with 180 watt power requirements so that a new motherboard is required with the support of X399 chipset and the same type of TR4 socket. The plan of this latest AMD processor will be present in the third quarter of 2018, so for you sophisticated hardware enthusiast, just get ready to replace your processor well.
